Pan & Zoom is a feature of Image Portal Digital Asset Management software that utilizes Adobe flash technology to ets the user zoom deep into image, pan in any direction, and drag image around the viewing area.
With respect to Digital Asset Management software, Permissions refers the tools used by Administrators to control access to assets or categories of assets to users or groups of users. Image Portal has a robust and easy to use Permissions System.
A file format designed by Adobe Systems to enable printing and viewing of documents with all their formatting (typefaces, images, layout, etc.) appearing the same regardless of what operating system is used, so a PDF document should look the same on Windows, Macintosh, linux, OS/2, etc. The PDF format is based on the widely used Postcript document-description language. Image Portal SE supports repurposing and auto-thumbnail generation for multi-page PDF documents.
Podcasting typically refers to the distribution of audio or video over the Internet using either RSS or Atom syndication — Image Portal supports both — for listening on mobile devices and personal computers. The term podcast, like "radio", can mean both the content and the method of delivery. The subscription feed of automatically delivered new content is what distinguishes a podcast from a simple download or real-time streaming. Usually, the podcast features one type of "show" with new episodes either sporadically or at planned intervals such as daily, weekly, etc… Image Portal AV is Digital Asset management comes with special features for managing podcast libraries.
The Preview Extender is a module option for Image Portal that provides extended support for thumbnail previews of asset formats that are not inherently supported.
